sunography kit place any object on the sunography paper or fabric, expose it to bright sunlight, and rinse to reveal a rich blue print. unlike other sun print kits, sunography is light-sensitive on both sides to make 2-sided prints that are suitable for tinting or hand-coloring wit any media. prints can be toned yellow or sepia using rinses with common household liquids.
a forerunner to the modern photographic process, sunlight sensitve paper ("cyanotype") was first invented in 1842 and subsequently popularized by artist anna atkin, one of the first female photographers.
